Screening Room, from the Code of the West series (2009-2010), 16x20" Digital C-print |
On Friday December 11, Open Source will hold their annual Winter fundraiser. I have been working with this Brooklyn based non-profit gallery for many years. They serve as a nexus for contemporary art and local neighborhood cultures, and support emerging artists through the development of new works which challenge how, when, and where art intersects and integrates with the everyday lives of people. Open Source has always placed a strong emphasis on socially engaged artworks, sustainable communities, and social justice. There some wonderful works for auction, including my photograph above.
