Online auction bidding begins November 19th to mark 15 years of the incredible Open Source Gallery. This space continues to support local connections, address global concerns, and provide opportunities and fair wages for artists and arts workers.
I met Open Source director/artist Monika Wuhrer in 2008 when she curated my video Steam Room into their inaugural exhibition. Since then, I've had opportunities to create site-based projects and events with their ongoing support, which has evolved my work (and the conversations around it) in such meaningful ways.The silent auction includes work by Edgar Heap of Birds, Tahir Kamali, Marti Command, George Ferrandi, David Colossi, a collaborative work by Pallavi Sen and Ilana Harris-Babou and many more amazing pieces of art (my work PMH Portal included)–available starting today!
The 2022 Gala and Auction helps support Open Source Gallery's mission to maintain public access to art and art education, community building events, and fair wages for artists and art workers.
Gala tickets are now on sale too! Stephanie Dinkins and James Hannaham are amongst the special guests! Pieces up for auction will be exhibited at the event (Smallhold HQ, Brooklyn).
